Role Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Key Account Sales Manager with a strong background in the beauty industry and expertise in selling into and managing large accounts such as Target, Ulta Beauty, department stores etc.
This individual will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by acquiring new business and expanding relationships with existing key accounts. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the beauty industry with a proven track record of sales success with major retailers.
We’re seeking a results-driven professional with a proven ability to proactively pursue new business opportunities and secure strategic accounts that drive revenue and market expansion.
EXPERIENCE:
Business Development:
· Identify and secure new business opportunities with a focus on high-value accounts such as Sephora and Target.
· Develop and execute strategic plans to attract new accounts and grow market share.
Account Management:
· Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key accounts, ensuring alignment with their goals and driving mutual growth.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing any challenges, coordinating product launches, and fostering a high level of customer satisfaction.
· Utilize deep expertise in assortment planning to design product selections that meet the strategic goals and visual standards of key retail partners, driving both sell-in and sell-through performance growth.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, product development) to create tailored sales strategies that resonate with each account's needs.
· Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing, and terms of business to achieve favorable outcomes for both the account and the company.
Market & Industry Expertise:
· Maintain a deep knowledge of trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape in the beauty and wellness sector.
· Provide insights and recommendations to internal teams to align product offerings with market demands.
Performance Metrics:
· Track, analyze, and report on sales performance, account growth, and client satisfaction.
· Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
· 5+ years of experience in key account management, sales, or business development in beauty (not-pharmaceutical).
· Proven success in managing large retail accounts, with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and enhance customer relationships.
· Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
